Adding a new tracker on Latitude Tracking’s GPS platform is super easy.
Ensure the GPS Tracker unit is charged before beginning.
Then open the rubber cover on the tracker and insert the SIM.
Replace the rubber cover.
The tracker will power up. This is shown by the blue light on the top of the unit.
Login to the Manager user
account created when you bought your tracking access.
This can be reached from Tracking Platform Access or via the button on our home screen shown below
Enter your credentials into the login screen.
Once Logged in, head to the top of the devices section on the left.
Select Plus (+) icon, “Register your first device.”
With the blue light on the tracker on, look on the underside of the unit, there will be a sticker with a barcode and an ID number.
Enter the ID number from the tracker into the dialogue box as well as your name for the new tracker. In this case we have called it Group_1, but you should choose a memorable name.
Click Save.
After a few minutes, your tracker should become live on the platform. The Icon in the left panel will have a green “Online” marker on it.
Click on the tracker name in the left panel and the map will move to the location of the tracker.
You are now ready to track your first group!
The tracker marker will follow your group in real time out on the trail.
